Known by the locals as Ngamotu, New Plymouth was designed so that both nines sweep out from the clubhouse in two giant loops. Ngamotu’s four par-3 holes range widely in length, but they all point in different directions on the compass. The course is a regular favourite on the Charles Tour pro circuit and is a great test of golf where the better putters usually reap the rewards. With the course built over a coastal slope, there are expansive views from the iconic Mt Taranaki out across the Tasman Sea.
