Christ’s College is one of New Zealand’s oldest schools, and also one of its most progressive. We are an independent, Anglican school for boys from Year 9 to Year 13.
Christ’s College was modeled on the Public Schools of England, with an emphasis on classical education and traditional values and this remains a strong focus for the school today. Christ’s College understands that good teaching and learning is not only about assessment, but also about classroom connectedness, and capable, inspiring teachers. Our teachers have a common desire to develop in boys a passion for learning that will endure.
Throughout its long and rich history, Christ’s College has maintained its foundation in Christian values, encouraging students to live lives underpinned by honesty, a love of learning, respect, spirituality, justice and compassion. Our Chaplain continues to guide the spiritual life of the school, following the broad ethos of Anglicanism, and recognising the multi-denominational environment that exists in our community.
